Privacy Policy
Your privacy is critically important to us.
Sayfer ("we", "us") operates this website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It applies only to this website, not to information we receive through our security services engagements, which are governed by our client agreements.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website is Sayfer, Tel Aviv, Israel. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Contact form. If you contact us through a form on this site, we collect your name, email address, company name, and message. We use it only to respond to your inquiry and, if relevant, to prepare a proposal. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
- Meeting scheduling. If you book a meeting through our Calendly link, Calendly collects the details you provide there (name, email, time slot) under its own privacy policy. We use that information to hold the meeting and follow up.
- Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect usage data such as pages visited, approximate region, device and browser type. This helps us understand what content is useful. Analytics scripts load only after you accept. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to keep the site secure and running. These logs are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider under its own policies.
We do not run advertising on this site, we do not use remarketing, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage:
- Essential. A record of your cookie consent choice, stored in your browser so we do not ask you again on every visit.
- Analytics (optional). Google Analytics cookies, set only if you accept in the consent banner.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which will show the consent banner again. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Formspree delivers contact form submissions to us by email.
- Calendly operates our meeting scheduling.
- Google Analytics processes usage statistics, only if you consented.
- Our hosting provider serves the site and keeps technical logs.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy terms and only for the purpose described above.
International transfers
Some of the providers above process data outside Israel, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep data
Contact form correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any follow-up engagement, and is then deleted or archived according to our records schedule. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Server logs are retained for the limited period set by our hosting provider.
Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the EU GDPR and the Israeli Privacy Protection Law), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have your data deleted,
- object to or restrict certain processing,
- receive your data in a portable format,
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior processing,
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Israel, this is the Privacy Protection Authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by the applicable law.
Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect the data collected through this site, consistent with our profession as a security firm. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep the risk low.
Links to external sites
This site links to external sites we do not operate, such as our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies separately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the update date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
